It sounds like you "get" what we were trying to do back in the good ol' days of 1999-2003. Of course, the Strokes-listenin' NYC hipsters of back then didn't quite get it, and we were unjustly ignored. We even went as far as including leather, makeup, and pyrotechnics(this was before the Great White tragedy)into our live act, but alas, it wasn't meant to be.
